The basics
We turn interior photos into audit-ready damage estimates. A policyholder, adjuster, or contractor photographs the damaged room with a phone. Our platform, Lumasite, reconstructs the room, identifies materials and damage, applies your pricing rules, and returns an Xactimate-ready estimate in hours.
Adjusters and policyholders. Carriers white-label our AI platform, Lumasite, so policyholders see a flow branded by their insurer, not by Elara Spatial.
Interior water damage, the most common claim in property insurance, at any severity: from a small leak under a sink to a flooded floor and everything in between. Additional perils are on our roadmap.
No. A human adjuster reviews and approves every estimate before it’s final. Lumasite handles the heavy lifting: the documentation, the measurements, and the first draft of the estimate. Adjusters keep what only they can do: coverage and payment decisions, and the person behind the claim.
From photo capture to a finished estimate in hours, with a human reviewing every result along the way. The industry average is 28 days. Lumasite enables same-day claim settling.
No. Policyholders receive a link by text or email, open it in their phone’s browser, and take the photos; there’s nothing to install, nothing to learn. Most people get it right on the first try.
Deployment & edge cases
Reading a damaged room the way an experienced adjuster does is hard, so we broke the problem into pieces and started with the biggest one. Interior water damage is the most common claim in property insurance. Additional perils are on our roadmap.
No. Lumasite handles claims of any size. For policyholder-led capture, the sweet spot is two to three rooms; larger losses are usually captured by an adjuster, inspector, or contractor.
Yes, and carriers already do. Because an adjuster reviews every estimate before it’s final, claims aren’t settled on-site today, though that’s a direction we’re exploring.
Yes. Lumasite produces estimates both before and after mitigation.
No, by design. Lumasite has no access to coverage information, and we don’t believe AI should decide what’s covered. We document what’s there; people decide what’s covered.
We stay with you. Outside of CAT events we don’t process claims on weekends or holidays, but during a catastrophe or severe weather event we run extended hours every day of the week.
